Jules Marriner

Do you know what is in your garden? who slinks around your park? which animals leave footprints in the snow? and what noises they make? Nature Calls gives you a sneaky peak into the lives of wild animals and birds that live in Britain all year round and some, that are just visiting. A nonfiction nature and science book for everyone aged over 3. Reading Nature Calls, followed by draw a crazy bird. Jules will show how to draw a bird, and then children can create their own mad looking creative bird and name it.

For many years Jules worked as an illustrator, wishing she could see her own children’s books in print. Then, an off-chance remark made her pluck up the courage to bring to life ‘Vincent and the Vampires’, Jules’ first book. That was over a decade – and eleven books – ago.

She works from home, in the cosy studio at the end of her wild garden, thinking about how she can make a story from the silly things that occur to her, or putting to paper a hare-brained scene from her imagination.
