Frederick the Fox begins with an unhappy fox who has started taking everything for granted – his home, his possessions, his friends. Feeling unfulfilled he sets off on a journey to find happiness.
Whilst Fox is off having lots of disastrous adventures, we visit his friends Owl, Mouse, and Rabbit who are missing him terribly and looking after his home.
Frederick eventually begins to realise that, for him, his key to happiness is his friends. He returns home, now appreciating all the things he had once taken for granted, discovering that with his friends by his side he is truly happy.
