The Island's BIGGEST Poem

For children aged 5 years or older

Friday 20 Feb 13.00

Micheal West Gallery

Join Isle of Wight poet and publisher Lottie Begg for a lively, interactive session where words truly take flight!

Together, we’ll be creating the Island’s biggest poem ever – and everyone, big or small, gets to add their own line or two.

Using the playful prompt “If I had wings…” we’ll dream, imagine, and write our way skyward, building a soaring, surprising, and unforgettable community poem.

No experience needed – just bring your imagination and a sense of fun. By the end, you’ll have helped shape a unique piece of Isle of Wight creativity that’s larger than life!

Lottie Begg is a poet, publisher, and unstoppable dream-maker based on the Isle of Wight. She runs Lemon Jelly Press, a small but mighty indie press dedicated to poetry, picture books, and creative community projects.

Whether she’s wrangling words into stanzas, helping new voices find the page, or inventing quirky workshops for children, Lottie believes stories should be joyful, messy, and shared.

She’s passionate about bringing books into unexpected places, from libraries to beaches, and about nurturing the Island’s next generation of writers.
