Chris Stevens
Books talk: for children aged 9 years or older: The Lost Uncle and the Elixir of Life: Where do you start?
Rope Store
Chris tells of the people and places that have inspired his writing, with tales of shipwrecks, sharks, whales and more besides, along with a number of interesting and associated facts. And, of course, what presentation would be complete without a few spooky stories from the real world. He wants the audience to think what experiences of their own might encourage them to write, and he’d like to hear what they think will be their “hook” to persuade people to read on.

Christopher Stevens began telling stories to his children and their friends more than 25 years ago, and is never more complimented than when they are retold to him by these "children", now in their twenties. His sense of adventure combined with his interest in history and passion for storytelling have culminated in him writing his children’s novels, THE PIRATE QUEEN AND THE HALF-PLUCKED CHICKEN and THE LOST UNCLE AND THE ELIXIR OF LIFE. Chris lives in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
