IW Story Festival Freelance Project Manager

The IW Story Festival organises a three day story based festival for children and families in February half term at Quay Arts https:/www.iwstoryfestival.com and a two day 'Stories in Schools' programme in May. These events are organised by committee members who work on a voluntary basis.


As freelance Project Manager it will be your job to work collaboratively with them to ensure all actions needed to deliver a successful IW Story Festival and Stories in Schools programme are completed to a high standard and in a timely fashion. Activities include commissioning authors and performers, booking venues, liaising with external partners, organising volunteers, creating a marketing campaign, all of which will build on the success of previous festivals and schools programmes.


You will report to the Board of Trustees.


If you have previous experience of project management, are an effective communicator and can work with minimum supervision to deadlines, this could be the post for you.


The position has no fixed base, hours are flexible, and the post holder is expected to manage their own time and workloads.

Payment
£8800 for 40 days' work between now and 28 February 2027 to be paid on submission of invoice on a monthly basis.

IW Story Festival Fundraiser

The IW Story Festival organises a three day story based festival for children and families in February half term at Quay Arts https://www.iwstoryfestival.com and a two day 'Stories in Schools' programme in May. These events are organised by committee members who work on a voluntary basis.


We are looking for someone to develop the IW Story Festival's financial base. Currently funding comes from a combination of grants (e.g., local councils, local grants, Arts Council), individual donors, and ticket income from the IW Story Festival.


We would like someone to seek out and put in place corporate and local sponsorship, look for and apply for more grants, in particular another Arts Council grant explore possibilities such as gift aid, crowd funding, go fund me, 'friends of the festival' 'donate here'.


We are open to other suggestions.


This person will liaise with our Organising Committee, attend occasional meetings and provide reports to the Trustees and funding bodies. They will be responsible to the Board of Trustees. The position has no fixed workspace, and the post holder is expected to manage their own time and workloads.
