Book talk: Reading and Q&A with author Kathryn Rossati; for children 8 years or older

Seminar Room

Listen to an extract of Kathryn's upcoming time travel novel, Naturally Nic/k, which features authentic autistic representation, magnificent magic tricks, and serious sleuthing, then ask the author any questions you like about the book, writing tips, neurodiversity, and anything else that comes to mind!

Kathryn Rossati is a neurodivergent and disabled author of middle grade and young adult fiction, with a strong lean towards fantasy and speculative, though she also enjoys delving into historical fiction and writing for a wide range of age groups. Along with novel writing, she has a keen interest in poetry, both for adults and children, and is an aspiring watercolour/gouache artist.

Naturally Nic/k

After seeing her two bullies disappear through an archway while on a school trip, Nic – an autistic girl who loves magic tricks – decides to follow them and finds herself thrown back in time to Victorian London. There, she meets a young magician boy, Nikolai Roberts, who tells her that kids have been going missing all over the city, including his brother. Suspecting her bullies have been snatched up as well, Nic teams up with Nikolai and resolves to rescue them.

Only children attending need a ticket; the accompanying adult does not need a ticket.
