Lizzie is a Forest School leader and founder of Forever Wild at Heart CIC on the Isle of Wight. Passionate about the healing power of nature, she creates opportunities for children and adults to connect with the natural world and with themselves. Lizzie has recently published her first children’s book, Wander, which she both wrote and illustrated. Inspired by her love of poetry and woodland walks. Wander invites families to slow down, notice the senses, and discover the magic of nature together.

Wander is a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and explore nature with all your senses. Written in calming rhyme and filled with soothing illustrations, this mindful picture book guides children and their grown-ups on a sensory journey through the woods. As you wander together, you’ll notice what you can see, hear, smell, touch, and taste—whether you’re out in the forest or imagining it from home.

With built-in prompts for reflection and interactive activities at the end, Wander is perfect for families who want to connect more deeply with each other and the natural world.

Ideal for children aged 3–7 and their grown-ups.
