Museum of Curious Enchantments

For all aged 3+

Friday 20 Feb 11.15

Clayden Gallery

Step inside the Museum of Curious Enchantment, a wonder-filled space for children and families, where every object has a story waiting to be told. Explore shelves of odd and intriguing treasures: curious old photographs, strange trinkets, and mysterious finds you can touch, examine, and imagine into life.

The museum also acts as a gentle chill-out zone, with vintage typewriters to tap on, well-worn books to leaf through, and cosy corners to dream in. Here, your imagination is the curator — discover something unusual, and let it lead you to a story only you can tell.

Jules is an author, illustrator, and conjuror of tiny magical worlds. She has written and illustrated 15 picture books full of mischievous animals, curious happenings, and the occasional talking dog.

From her snug studio by the water’s edge, ducks paddle past while ideas float in like paper boats. She adores visiting schools and libraries, where she stirs up story magic and helps young readers hatch their own tales. Whether crafting miniature dioramas, sketching in life’s margins, or eavesdropping on imaginary conversations, Jules is always pocketing peculiar, delightful moments — just in case they turn into her next book.

Only children attending need a ticket; the accompanying adult does not need a ticket.
