Steve Cole leads his audience on a laugh-a-minute, high energy, ukulele-accompanied master class in "chucking imagination at words". (aka telling stories).
He will share quick-and-easy ways to invent story ideas and share secret writing tips.
He’ll even reveal the secret origins of characters such as the much-loved Astrosaurs – dinosaurs in space – now back in their own graphic novel. Children and adults will come away enthused and inspired to leap into new adventures in creative writing!

Steve Cole’s working life started at BBC Children’s Magazines where he oversaw pre-school publications. A life-long Doctor Who fan, when he saw an opportunity to work on the BBC series of original Doctor Who stories, he grabbed the chance and was responsible for the creation of a host of new titles.
Steve’s hugely successful ASTROSAURS series for readers of 7+ began in 2005, followed shortly by the COWS IN ACTION books. Since then, Steve has written a selection of Young Bond books, worked with astronaut, Tim Peake on SWARM RISING and SWARM ENEMY and with Ben Fogle on the MR DOG series, as well as a huge number of other titles. His sales now exceed 3 million copies.

Much in demand for his energetic performances at events, Steve has appeared at all the major UK Literature Festivals and he has toured schools in Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand as well as featuring at international sci-fi and Doctor Who conventions.
