Hexed and Twice Hexed | Julia Tuffs | ages 12+

Join Julia Tuffs for a talk covering all things witchy, the Isle of Wight and smashing the patriarchy! Julia’s fabulously feisty debut novel Hexed, and the sequel Twice Hexed, follows the story of Jessie Jones – an ordinary girl who manifests strange powers whilst on her period and goes on to use them to fight the toxic masculinity she encounters in her school. Julia’s talk will cover her inspirations and publishing journey, as well as hints and tips on writing your own stories.

After a brief stint working in television and as a primary teacher, Julia Tuffs decided to take her writing dreams more seriously. She currently lives in South-West London with her family and ragdoll cats and spending her time writing, reading, dreaming of holidays and watching too much reality TV. She aims to write the kind of books that shaped and inspired her as a teenager.

The HEXED series (HEXED and TWICE HEXED) are her first books for teens.
